More flasher incidents reported in Fayetteville

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

The Fayetteville Police Department is suggesting children walk in groups because someone has been flashing youngsters in the city and greater Cumberland County.

Police said the latest reports of a man exposing himself have come from the areas of Fort Bragg Road, Pilot Avenue, Hay Street/Oakridge Avenue and Cliffdale Road near the intersection of McPherson Church Road.

The man - who witnessed described as either white or Hispanic - was driving a white colored van.

Similar sightings were reported by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office April 4.

Police said anyone who sees the man should remain calm and call 911 right away. Anyone with tips on the man's identity can call the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
