FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities in Fayetteville are trying to identify a suspect who robbed an extended stay hotel near downtown Wednesday morning.
Police said the suspect entered the Value Place hotel on West Rowan Street near Bragg Boulevard around 8:15 a.m. with a weapon and demanded money before fleeing the scene on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect was described as a white man in his early to mid-20s with a thin build and standing about 6 feet tall. He had short dark hair and chinstrap-style facial hair.
The suspect was seen in surveillance video wearing a hooded jacket, khaki pants, white sneakers and a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap.
