Skateboarder hit by SUV

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a teenager on a skateboard.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Battlebridge Road.

Trooper said a Honda CRV struck the skateboarder and that the force of the impact caused the victim to hit the windshield.

The victim was taken to WakeMed.

At last report, there was no word on the victim's name and whether any charges will be filed.
