Sunday, February 17, 2013

As the race to succeed Michael Bloomberg as New York City mayor heats up, we continue our conversations with the candidates for City Hall.

This week, we talk with one of the candidates for the Democratic nomination: New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio.

Also, now that Pope Benedict XVI has announced he will step down, there are plenty of opinions about who should be the next pontiff.

Joining us to discuss the process is Father James Martin, an editor at large and writer for 'America', the national Catholic weekly.

Plus, the story of a transgender teacher who was fired from a Catholic school in Queens.

Marla Krolikowski spoke only to Eyewitness News Investigative reporter Sarah Wallace.

Watch Up Close with Diana Williams every Sunday morning at 11:00 on Channel 7.
