Man trapped under home in New City

NEW CITY, N.Y. (WABC) -- In Rockland County, rescuers had to work carefully but quickly to reach a worker trapped under a home in New City.

He had been repairing a water leak inside a trench when it collapsed, covering him to his chest in mud and rocks.

When rescuers pulled him out, he was conscious and breathing.

He was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
