Man punched and robbed outside Nassau County college bookstore

A search is underway for two robbers who attacked an 18-year old outside of the Nassau County Community College bookstore.

Detectives say the man was walking on Education Drive in East Garden City Monday night when two men approached him.

The suspects punched the victim, knocked him to the ground, then took money from his pockets. There were no injuries.

They hopped into a brown Nissan Maxima and drove away south on Duncan Avenue.

One suspect is described as being 20 years of age, black hooded sweat shirt, and camouflage pants.

The other is described as being 20 years of age, light skinned, black jeans, black hooded sweat shirt. There were no injuries reported.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
