CENTRAL ISLIP (WABC) -- Three armed men used brute force and bullets during overnight to carry out a home invasion on Long Island.
Suffolk County police say the suspects forced their way into a home on Birch Street in Central Islip just before 1 a.m.
The intruders shot someone in the house and then fled the scene.
Police have been using K-9 units to search the neighborhood, but so far have come up empty.
The victim suffered non life-threatening injuries.
