Police responding to Elmont gas smell find 2 fatally shot

ELMONT, N.Y. (WABC) -- Nassau County police say the bodies of a woman and a man have been found with gunshot wounds in a home in Elmont.
Police say officers were summoned to the home by a call reporting the smell of gas on Monday evening. They say officers instead found the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds.
They have been identified as Karan Rodgers-Dennis and Audley Dennis.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the deaths.
