East Meadow strip mall in ruins after fire

EAST MEADOW (WABC) -- A Long Island mini-mall is in ruins after a fire tore through the complex late Tuesday night.

The flames broke out at the Spice and Curry restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow just before 10:30 p.m. and quickly spread to two other businesses - We Buy Gold and Wine and Spirits.

All the buildings sustained substantial damage.

Seventy-five firefighters battled the blaze, which at this time is being deemed accidental.

No injuries were reported.
